Acton Ostry Architects

Located in Vancouver's historic Crosstown district, 33 is a nine-storey mixed-use development with a combination of apartments and loft-style units. Threads of brightly-coloured glass are stitched through bay windows, animating the celebratory Silk Road leading to Chinatown’s Millennium Gate. The laneway facade features alternating recessed balconies and fully glazed bays with green- and blue-coloured glass, creating a checkerboard of light and shadow against the gritty backdrop of Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.
