One of only 20 projects in the City of Vancouver’s Moderate Income Rental Housing Pilot Program, 445 Kingsway is a 14-storey mixed-use development consisting of a commercial base topped by a three-storey residential podium and two mid-rise residential towers. The transit-oriented development will provide 236 secured rental housing units, 20% of which will be moderate income rental units and 35% of which will be suitable for families with children. Extensive outdoor amenity space above the commercial podium and on the tower roofs will provide views of the adjacent Robson Park.

LEED Gold Certification
The recently-completed Gastown Child Care Centre has received LEED Gold certification following its Passive House certification in June. Developed in response to an intriguing concept proposed by the City of Vancouver to locate child care centres atop under-utilized parkades in the downtown core, the innovative Gastown Child Care Centre supports Vancouver’s Greenest City goals through several sustainability features including a focus on net zero energy and low carbon fuel sources.
City Council Approval
Woodland Park has received the support of Port Moody City Council. The multi-phase rezoning accommodates the gradual growth of much-needed housing in Port Moody and will culminate in a vibrant, diverse, and sustainable master-planned community with an innovative mix of housing in 20 buildings across five distinct neighbourhoods. 75 percent of the ten-hectare site will remain green space, and 325 of the 2,000 new homes will be affordable rental units developed by BC Housing in partnership with EDGAR.
