UBC Hebb Building
LEED Gold Certification
The renewal of the UBC Hebb Building has achieved LEED Gold certification through a combination of high-efficiency mechanical and electrical systems, improved glazing, solar shading, and enhanced insulation. By renewing the existing building rather than replacing it with a new one, the use of raw materials, energy inputs, and pollutants was reduced. The renewed building is projected to accrue significant operating energy savings over its lifecycle.
Construction on the new Sir Sandford Fleming Elementary School was recently completed. This LEED Gold-target project features state-of-the-art 21st century learning spaces and bright, welcoming multipurpose areas on the first and second floors. On the third floor, a 69-space child care facility with an expansive outdoor play area is scheduled for completion in spring 2021.
The new Lannon Hall Elementary School provides an inspiring 21st century learning and teaching environment behind its historic 1924 facade, an iconic connection to Vancouver College’s past that was retained and restored during construction. Combined with the existing senior school and Manrell Hall Middle School, which we completed in 2018, this project creates a sense of place for the only all-boys independent Catholic school in British Columbia.
Located in the False Creek Flats area of Vancouver, Industrial Long Wood is an exposed mass timber building that measures 27 by 21 metres wide and 162 metres long, equivalent to a 54-storey tower laid on its side. The proposed building supports a City of Vancouver planning vision for a newly established light industrial and digital tech office area located close to downtown and the Port of Vancouver.
