Landscaping has begun on the roof of The Duke located in Vancouver’s Mount Pleasant neighbourhood. The steel structure is complete and the tensile canopy is to be installed in the summer. The installation of the exterior masonry facade is progressing.
Scheduled for completion in 2017, The Duke was designed under the City of Vancouver’s Rental 100 Secured Market Rental Housing Policy and is targeted for LEED Gold certification.

A new report ‘Procuring Innovation in Construction’ published by British Columbia Construction Association (BCCA) uses UBC Brock Commons Tallwood House as an example of design and construction of high performance wood structures driving the adaptation of modern methods of construction such as digital design and pre-fabrication. Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards
Once again, Cactus Club Cafe has received Gold for Best Chain in the annual Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards. The judges praised Cactus’ “infallible consistency, be it at the swanky Coal Harbour flagship or the Kamloops branch”. Also mentioned was the great success of their Eastern flagship location that opened in 2016 at First Canadian Place in Toronto.
