Once again, Cactus Club Cafe has received Gold for Best Chain in the annual Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards. The judges praised Cactus’ “infallible consistency, be it at the swanky Coal Harbour flagship or the Kamloops branch”. Russell Acton Meets with South Australian Premier
Russell Acton met with South Australian Premier Jay Weatherill in Adelaide at “Building Greener Cities with Timber”, an event highlighting the environmental benefits of building with sustainable timber. The South Australian government has been a leader in recognizing the need to reduce carbon emissions through a Carbon Neutral Adelaide partnership with Adelaide City Council. The event featured a keynote address by Russell, during which he emphasized the need for urban centres to develop extraordinarily ordinary and environmentally meaningful mass wood buildings to help reduce global greenhouse gas emissions.
