As originally intended and envisioned, the landscape at the Biological Sciences Complex has filled in the sloping grade and climbing vines are well on their way to enveloping the face of the facility.

The LEED Gold project included a seismic upgrade and major renewal of the South and West wings in 2011.

In 2012 the lower level was outfitted with a new state-of-the-art aquatic research facility that includes aquatics laboratories, aquaculture systems, and environmental chambers for the Department of Zoology.

The 110,000 sf development includes 96 residential market units and a full service automobile dealership, thought to be the first in North America to combine such uses.

In 2010 the project was featured in “A Guide to Contemporary Architecture in Vancouver” published by Douglas & McIntyre.
