Completed in 2002, the two-storey, 650 square metre Southlands Residence is located on a pastoral site in the Southlands neighbourhood of Vancouver.

The design is a contemporary departure of the Arts and Crafts Movement, specifically homes designed in California by Greene and Greene at the turn of the century. The visual importance of the aesthetic nature of the complex woodwork is externalized and asserted, rather than hidden in decoration.

Programmatic spaces include an open family room with kitchen and breakfast nook, formal living and dining room, mudroom and den, five bedrooms, recreation and fitness rooms, swimming pool with terrace, caretaker’s residence, horse stable and riding ring.
